I remember at the beginning of lockdown last year the city closed all the parks and sports fields. Now the recently refurbished turf field and track at Lake View High School has reopened and I regularly see my neighbors masked up and playing on it with their kids during what would be school hours. It’s a strange half return to normalcy and also a reminder of how far we still have to go.
